Kids love these sweet and sticky bite-size treats.

  • 3 apples, cored and cut into 6 wedges each

    1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice

    2 slices Ben’s® White or Wheat Bread, toasted

    1/2 cup (125 mL) rolled oats

    1/4 cup (60 mL) shredded unsweetened coconut

    1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon

    1/4 cup (60 mL) butter, melted

    3/4 cup (175 mL) high-quality prepared thick caramel sauce


Preheat oven to 400°F (200°). Toss apples with lemon juice to coat evenly.

In food processor, pulse bread, oats, coconut and cinnamon until mixture is in fine crumbs; toss with melted butter. Spread on parchment paper–lined baking sheet; bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Insert lollipop stick into each apple wedge. Warm caramel sauce slightly, until pourable; dip apples into caramel. Sprinkle with bread crumb mixture. Let cool on parchment or waxed paper until set.

Tip: The bread crumb mixture is delicious sprinkled over yogurt or ice cream.
